IES के छात्रों ने बनाया एप, किसी भी शहर में मिलेगी नौकरी की जानकारी

आईईएस ग्रुप ऑफ इंस्टीट्यूशंस की छात्राओं ने 'जॉब बज' नाम से ऐसा एप बनाया है, जिससे किसी भी शहर में स्थित कंपनी में उपलब्ध नौकरी तलाश की जा सकती है। यूजर को इस एप पर केवल रजिस्ट्रेशन करना होगा और उसे जॉब्स की सारी जानकारी स्मार्ट फोन या कंप्यूटर के जरिए मिल जाएगी। इसी कॉलेज के कुछ छात्रों ने एक दूसरा एप डिजाइन किया है, जाे छात्रों को किसी भी शहर के हॉस्टल तलाशने में मदद करता है।

जॉब बज को बनाने के लिए आईबीएम द्वारा राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर आयोजित ग्रेट माइंड चैलेंज प्रतियोगिता में संस्थान की छात्राओं की टीम को दूसरा और हॉस्टल तलाशने के लिए एप बनाने वाली दूसरी टीम को तीसरा पुरस्कार मिला है। आईबीएम के बेंगलुरु स्थित सेंटर में आयोजित इस प्रतियोगिता में देश भर के 800 इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजों के 2400 छात्रों ने हिस्सा लिया था। इस प्रतियोगिता में शामिल टीम को मोबालिटी टेक्नोलॉजी का उपयोग कर मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन बनाने थे। यह प्रतियोगिता फर्स्ट ऑफ बिग 4 मोबालिटी पर आधारित थी। छात्रों द्वारा बनाए गए दोनों एप मल्टी प्लेटफॉर्म मोबाइल एप्लीकेशन हैं, जो एंड्रोयड, विंडोज, आईफोन और डेस्कटॉप पर उपयोग कर सकते हैं।

जॉब बज बनाने वाली टीम में टीम आयुषी जैन, स्वाति जैन एवं सुप्रिया मुजूमदार शामिल हैं। जबकि हॉस्टल सर्च करने के लिए एप बनाने वाली टीम में अश्वनीनाथ तिवारी, काजल माहाले एवं ज्योति गुरु शामिल हैं। सभी छात्र- छात्राएं कंप्यूटर साइंस एंड इंजीनियरिंग के सातवें सेमेस्टर की पढ़ाई कर रहे हैं।

स्कूलों में ‘नो बैग’ कल्चर के लिए सीबीएसई करा रहा सर्वे

सीबीएसई तीन साल पहले ही स्कूलों में कम से कम प्राइमरी तक ‘नो बैग’ कल्चर लाना चाहता था, लेकिन बहुत अच्छा रिस्पांस मिलने पर मामला लटकता रहा। हालांकि एकबार फिर से सीबीएसई स्कूलों में होमवर्क के घंटों को कम करने के कॉन्सेप्ट को लागू करने के लिए आक्रामक रूप से सामने आया है। बोर्ड ‘नो बैग’ और ‘ओनली वन आवर’ होमवर्क के लिए पेरेंट्स, टीचर्स और स्टूडेंट्स तीनों को सर्वे में शामिल कर रहा है, ताकि सभी बोर्ड के तर्कों पर बात करते हुए होमवर्क के नाम पर कॉपियां भरने के कॉन्सेप्ट को खत्म करें और उसकी जगह रिसर्च बेस्ड होमवर्क को जगह मिल सके। ऑनलाइन और ऑफलाइन सर्वे के जरिए सेंट्रल बोर्ड ऑफ सेकेंडरी एजुकेशन ने स्टूडेंट्स, पेरेंट्स और टीचर्स से पूछा है कि होमवर्क का मेन पर्पज क्या है।

छोटी क्लासेज में कोई किताब नहीं 
पुलिस डीएवी स्कूल में सीबीएसई की गाइडलाइन्स को फॉलो करते हुए सेकेंड क्लास तक नो बैग कॉन्सेप्ट चल रहा है। सेकेंड क्लास तक कोई होमवर्क नहीं दिया जाता। कोई किताब घर से नहीं लानी लेकर जानी है। थर्ड से पांचवीं क्लास तक भी 90 फीसदी ओरल पढ़ाई कराई जाती है, लिखित होमवर्क देना भी हो तो एक ही विषय में दिया जाता है। ताकि होमवर्क को ज्यादा से 20 से 25 मिनट ही स्टूडेंट्स दें। प्रिंसिपल रश्मि विज का कहना है कि हमारा फोकस रीडिंग हैबिट्स को डेवलप करना है। होमवर्क देने की बजाए हम क्लास में डिक्टेशन, कॉम्प्रिहेंसिव और रीडिंग करवाते हैं। बड़ी क्लासेज यानी छठी से लेकर दसवीं तक एक से डेढ़ घंटे या ज्यादा से ज्यादा 2 घंटे का होमवर्क तो हर हालत में होता है। हालांकि इसपर भी हम काम कर रहे हैं कि कैसे इसे थोड़ा और कम किया जा सके।

क्लास वाइज होमवर्क टाइमिंग 
प्राइमरी क्लासेज का होमवर्क टाइम इसलिए कम क्योंकि सीबीएसई ने नो बैग का कॉन्सेप्ट अभियान कुछ साल पहले लॉन्च किया। लगभग सभी स्कूलों में प्राइमरी ओर प्री प्राइमरी क्लासेज में एक दिन में एक ही सब्जेक्ट पढ़ाया जाता है। इसलिए रिटन काम कम होता है। ग्यारहवीं और बारहवीं के होमवर्क का टाइम स्ट्रीम पर डिपेंड करता है। कॉमर्स को औसतन 3 घंटे हैं तो साइंस में नॉन मैडिकल और मैडिकल दोनों स्ट्रीम को 4 घंटे का समय भी लगता है। साइंस स्ट्रीम के स्टूडेंट्स होमवर्क और स्कूल के अलावा कोचिंग सेंटरों में से 2 से 3 घंटे की क्लास लेते हैं।

नो बैग कल्चर पेरेंट्स ने बदलवाया 
दो साल पहले सीबीएसई के ‘नो बैग और बैग फ्री’ एजुकेशन को बढ़ावा देते हुए एमजीएन अर्बन एस्टेट स्कूल में प्रिंसिपल जतिंदर सिंह ने नर्सरी और केजी विंग के लिए होमवर्क बिलकुल बंद कर दिया। पेरेंट्स को बच्चों को बैग देकर भेजने के लिए कहा गया। इसके पीछे सोच थी कि इतने छोटे बच्चों के लिए सीखना जरूरी है, लेकिन बोझ नहीं। आठ महीने मुश्किल से इस ट्रैंड को चलाया। पेरेंट्स शिकायत लेकर पहुंच जाते थे कि बच्चों को कुछ तो होमवर्क दिया करो। सो जाते हैं या खेलते रहते हैं। पेरेंट्स को बहुत समझाया फाइनली फिर से होमवर्क ट्रेंड शुरू करना पड़ा।

हालांकि प्रिंसिपल जतिंदर सिंह कहते हैं कि यह साढ़े तीन घंटे की क्लास होती है, ढाई घंटे पढ़ा कर एक घंटा होमवर्क करवाने पर लगाया जा सकता है, लेकिन पेरेंट्स तो साथ दें। छठी से शुरू होने वाली क्लासेज में बच्चों को होमवर्क डेढ़ से दो घंटे का मिलता है। सीबीएसई के नो बैग ट्रैंड के बाद इसका टाइम कम हुआ है, नहीं तो पहले तीन से चार घंटे का टाइम होता था।

सुझाव : दीक्षांत समारोह में पैंट-शर्ट और जैकेट पहनें छात्र

भोपाल प्रदेश : के सभी विश्वविद्यालयों के दीक्षांत समारोह में छात्रों को गाउन की जगह पैंट-शर्ट तथा जैकेट पहनना चाहिए। छात्राओं के लिए यह ड्रेस कोड सलवार-कुर्ती सहित जैकेट हो। हालांकि समारोह में शामिल अतिथियों के गाउन पहनने की व्यवस्था में कोई बदलाव किया जाए। समारोह का कार्यक्रम मिनट-टु-मिनट तय हो, ताकि सभी छात्र-छात्राओं को कुलाधिपति के हाथों से डिग्री दिलाई जा सके।

व्यवस्था में बदलाव :
यह सुझाव बरकतउल्ला यूनिवर्सिटी (बीयू) की एक कमेटी ने दिए हैं। मैनेजमेंट डिपार्टमेंट के डीन प्रो. पीके मिश्रा की अध्यक्षता वाली इस सात सदस्यीय कमेटी की सोमवार को बैठक हुई। इन सुझावों पर बीयू सहित देवी अहिल्या यूनिवर्सिटी, इंदौर और जीवाजी यूनिवर्सिटी, ग्वालियर के कुलपति मंगलवार को राजधानी में विचार करेंगे। उच्च शिक्षा विभाग ने इन तीन कुलपतियों को दीक्षांत समारोह की पोशाक बदलने के लिए सुझाव देने की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी है।

उच्च शिक्षा मंत्री उमाशंकर गुप्ता पिछले महीने भोज यूनिवर्सिटी के दीक्षांत समारोह में शामिल हुए थे। इस दौरान उन्होंने दीक्षांत समारोह के गाउन एवं अन्य व्यवस्थाओं पर नाखुशी जताई थी। इस पर उच्च शिक्षा विभाग ने तीन कुलपतियों की समिति का गठन किया है।

कमेटी ने यह भी दिए सुझाव :
समिति के अनुसार दीक्षांत समारोह में यूजी, पीजी और पीएचडी छात्रों की जैकेट का रंग अलग-अलग रखा जाए। ताकि उनकी पहचान आसानी हो सके।

पहले हो चुका है विरोध :
वर्ष 2010 में तत्कालीन केंद्रीय वन एवं पर्यावरण मंत्री जयराम रमेश ने आईआईएफएम, भोपाल के दीक्षांत समारोह में दीक्षांत गाउन को उतारकर उसे बर्बर संस्कृति का प्रतीक बताया था। इस घटना के बाद से ही देश भर में दीक्षांत समारोह की पोशाक को लेकर बहस शुरू हो गई थी।

IGNOU launches web-based radio and TV channels

According to IGNOU officials, the new virtual channels seek to help web citizens and specially those who are enrolled in IGNOU. The channels will provide audio-video programmes based on the course-curriculum. Also, these channels will enable students to interact in real time with academic experts from various streams.

IGNOU intends to grab the benefits of fast-evolving Information and Communication Technology by switching from broadcast to the online media, under the Digital India programme. Webcasting is more financially viable as compared to commercial broadcasts.

Also, webcasts are more easily accessible as they are in the public domain, allowing students to directly access them from a convenient place. This conforms to the open education system of IGNOU.

The webcast will run on a pilot basis at first. Then, audio-video programs will be introduced along with live interactions with subject matter experts. These will be customized for specific needs of the students in association with different schools of studies as well as Regional Services Division under IGNOU.

Indraprashta University Counseling Dates Extended by SC

The Supreme Court of India in its judgment has ruled out that the date for online counseling for admission in technical courses in Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University would be extended and students could take part in the counseling to secure their admissions. The counseling would be open till 21 October 2014.

As the courses have already began in the university, those who would be getting their counseling done in this period would be put in a separate section in which they would attend extra classes to catch with the regular students who have secured admissions earlier. The bench of SC judges headed by Dipak Misra pointed out that those students who have got admitted in the colleges would not be allowed to take part in the supplementary counseling organized by the colleges.
The Supreme Court fumed over the university and AICTE for not going with the time schedule which caused trouble for many of the students who have taken admissions in the colleges. The Supreme Courts intervention to the matter further warned the colleges to keep the timeline strictly in mind and ascertained that this should get followed religiously in the years to come so that students doesn’t have to face unnecessary problems caused by the authorities.

Javadekar proposes communications university on IIMC golden jubilee

NEW DELHI: Information and broadcasting minister Prakash Javadekar on Monday proposed launching a communications university on the golden jubilee of the Indian Institute of Mass Communications in 2015.

Addressing the annual convocation of the institution here, Javadekar said he would post the suggestion of turning the IIMC, which has five regional branches, into a Communications University and invited suggestions from people on the proposal.

"We will seek the views and ideas of people on this. It will be posted on the Information and Broadcasting Ministry site so that we can launch it in every way during the golden jubilee celebrations," Javadekar announced to loud cheers from the crowd of young communication graduates.

He also said that the Narendra Modi government was for "participatory communication, which is a mission for the nation and therefore communication is very important for participatory democracy," he said.

Javadekar suggested that students could do a study on the recently-concluded election campaign in the two states of Maharashtra and Haryana and study the "democracy festival in all its aspects".
