आईआईटी, कानपुर से एमबीए के लिए 13 जनवरी तक करें APPLY

एजुकेशन । आईआईटी कानपुर की ओर से सत्र 2015 तक के लिए एमबीए में एडमिशन का नोटिफिकेशन जारी कर दिया गया है। इसके लिए एमबीए (सर्विस मैनेजमेंट और मैन्युफेक्चरिंग मैनेजमेंट) में स्पेशलाइजेशन कराया जाएगा। कॉमन एडमिशन टेस्ट (कैट) 2014 में हिस्सा लेने वाले कैंडिडेट्स ही इस प्रोग्राम के लिए अप्लाइ कर सकते हैं, क्योंकि कैट के स्कोर के आधार पर ही इसमें एडमिशन दिया जाएगा।

इस प्रोग्राम में अप्लाइ करने की लास्ट डेट 13 जनवरी 2015 है। शॉर्टलिस्ट होने वाले कैंडिडेट्स की लिस्ट 10 फरवरी तक जारी कर दी जाएगी। ग्रुप डिस्कशन और पर्सनल इंटरव्यू 19 से 22 मार्च के बीच होंगे।

महिला कैंडिडेट्स के लिए आवेदन फीस नहीं होगी जबकि सामान्य और ओबीसी कैटेगरी के लिए फीस 1600 रुपए है। वहीं, आरक्षित वर्ग के लिए फीस 800 रुपए है। कैंडिडेट्स वेबसाइट www.iitk.ac.in से एप्लिकेशन फॉर्म डाउनलोड कर सकते हैं

2015 तक सबको प्राथमिक शिक्षा देना मुश्किल, पढ़ें क्या-क्या है कारण

साल 2015 तक सबको प्राथमिक शिक्षा का लक्ष्य हासिल करने के लिए भारत को करीब 30 लाख प्राइमरी शिक्षकों की जरूरत है। देश में शिक्षकों की कुल संख्या ही करीब 64 लाख है। यूनेस्को की ताजा रिपोर्ट में शिक्षकों की कमी को पूरा करने के लिए अप्रशिक्षित लोगों की नियुक्ति पर भी सवाल उठाया गया है। इससे पहले 2010 की रिपोर्ट में 2015 तक यह लक्ष्य हासिल करने के लिए 20 लाख शिक्षकों की जरूरत बताई गई थी। मौजूदा हालात में 2015 तक इसे हासिल करना तो असंभव है ही, आगे मुश्किलें और ज्यादा होंगी। आज एजुकेशन भास्कर में देश में शिक्षकों की कमी और टीचर्स ट्रेनिंग इंस्टीट्यूट्स की हालत पर चर्चा।

11 लाख सरकारी स्कूल, कम हैं 12 लाख शिक्षक, 8 फीसदी स्कूलों में केवल एक
देशभरमें कुल 10.9 लाख सरकारी स्कूल हैं जिनमें करीब 46 लाख शिक्षक हैं, लेकिन यह जरूरत से करीब 12 लाख कम है। प्राइवेट स्कूलों को मिलाकर देखें तो देश में करीब 65 लाख 30 हजार शिक्षक हैं। करीब 6-11 साल की उम्र के करीब 14 लाख बच्चे स्कूल से बाहर हैं। सबको शिक्षा का लक्ष्य हासिल करने के लिए करीब दो लाख स्कूलों की अभी जरूरत है।

इसलिए शिक्षा का यह है स्तर
साल 2012 की एक रिपोर्ट के अनुसार देश में पांचवीं कक्षा में पढ़ने वाले 53 फीसदी बच्चे दूसरी कक्षा की किताब सही नहीं पढ़ सकते। जबकि 47 फीसदी गणित के प्राथमिक स्तर के सवाल जैसे जोड़-घटाना भी सॉल्व नहीं कर सकते।

सरकारी स्कूलों में शिक्षक : 46.1 लाख
सरकारी स्कूलों में शिक्षकों की औसत संख्या : 4.2
अनएडेड स्कूलों में शिक्षकों की औसत संख्या : 8.8
स्कूलों में हैं केवल एक शिक्षक : 8.3 %

IGNOU celebrates vigilance awareness week

Vigilance Awareness Week which started on 27th October 14 was organized at IGNOU head quarters in New Delhi.

The Vigilance pledge was administered by the Vice Chancellor Prof. M. Aslam  in English.  He emphasized that the menace of corruption should be eradicated from organizations and technology can bring more transparency and accountability.  Mr. Sudhir Budakoti, Registrar of the University administered the pledge in Hindi.  Prof. Madhu Prahar, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) gave introduction and importance of the theme “Combating Corruption -  Technology as Enabler” as given by Central Vigilance Commission.

 Employees gathered in the Convention center of the university to take the pledge:, “We, the public servants of India, do hereby solemnly pledge that we shall continuously strive to bring about integrity and transparency in all spheres of our activities. We also pledge that we shall work unstintingly for eradication of corruption in all spheres of life. We shall remain vigilant and work towards the growth and reputation of our organization through our collective efforts, we shall bring pride to our organizations and provide value based service to our countrymen. We shall do our duty conscientiously and act without fear or favour.”

All Regional Centers of IGNOU which are spread over in India, participated in function through web conferencing.  After the pledge, few regional centers informed the activities which they will  take  during  the Vigilance Week.

Male graduates put earnings above job satisfaction

The survey of over 27,000 students at 126 UK universities found a number of key differences between male and female respondents that seem to suggest that graduates’ career expectations are still strongly shaped by gender.
For example, male graduates are prepared to spend around four more hours a week at work and expect to be paid 12pc more than female graduates, on average. The men surveyed also have a greater tendency to say they’d choose a bigger pay packet over job satisfaction, being two-and-a-half times more likely to disagree with the statement “it’s more important to feel fulfilled than to earn lots of money”.
The trendence Graduate Barometer 2014 also suggests that female graduates are more selective when seeking employment, being more likely to say ethical and moral issues play an important role in their choice of employer. Women also place greater priority on finding a job in an organisation that has a diverse workforce.
So does this mean that the next generation of graduates are destined to create a future where men continue to be the main breadwinners while women are left to decide how best to balance career and family?

It’s difficult to tell from a single survey. What’s interesting though, beneath the statistics that show a marked difference between the men and women that trendence surveyed, are the differences between students of the same sex.
So while around a half (53pc) of men and seven out of ten (68pc) women expect to work less than 45 hours a week; a sizeable minority of men (48pc) and women (32pc) are prepared to work more than 45 hours a week.
Similarly with pay, two thirds of male students (65pc) and eight out of ten female students predict that they’ll earn less than £25,000 per annum; while a third (34pc) of men and a fifth (20pc) of women have their sights set over the £25,000 mark.
And when it comes to job satisfaction, the majority of male students (57pc) and female students (71pc) surveyed say that having a fulfilling career is more important than earning lots of money.
So while there is a fairly even spread of higher fliers and lower fliers to be found amongst the male and female student populations, the majority of students leaving university are prepared to prioritise a job they enjoy over a highly-paid job.
Most students (65pc of men and 60pc of women) also say they’re prepared to make sacrifices in their personal lives in order to develop their career, though interestingly, few expect having a family to interfere with their progress at work. Only 29pc of men and 25pc of women surveyed think that taking time out for their family will have negative effect on their career.

Government to fund campaign to stamp out anti-gay bullying in schools

Government-funded advisers are to be sent into schools to educate teachers and children about the harm caused to gay and lesbian children by bullying.
Nicky Morgan, the Education Secretary, is expected to unveil a £2 million fund to pay for charities and voluntary groups to run training projects aimed at stamping out homophobic bullying in schools.
The announcement comes as Mrs Morgan, who voted against the introduction of same-sex marriage last year, signalled that she had changed her mind on the issue.
In an interview with the PinkNews website, she said it been a “really difficult issue” and called for “tolerance, and respect” on both sides.
Mrs Morgan, who is minister for women and equalities in addition to her education portfolio, said she “understood” why some supporters of same-sex marriage criticised her appointment to the post but insisted she had been guided by her constituents.

CA Final November 2014 Exam: Tips and tricks

Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) CA Final Exam will begin from November 7 and end on November 21.

Tips for preparation during last 10 days:

Be positive and motivated: Many students have this tendency to take lots of pressure which makes them demotivated and sacred for the final exam. The key here is to keep yourself optimistic all the time, prepare well for the exam and give your best shot.

Revise your subjects: Do not pick any new subject during the last day. Other than picking a new subject its better to revise and improve the subjects you have already been doing. Do your articleship training sincerely, do various manuals and test papers for all the subjects.

Time management:  Those three hours during the exams are extremely important whatever you have studies throughout these months will not count if you do not do well in the 3 hours. Time management is the key here, 180 minutes (3 hours) is given for 100 marks paper, so you have 1.8 minutes for each mark which implies that for a 5-mark question, you have 9 minutes in hand, for 10 marks question you have 18 minutes in hand so while giving the answers keep a check on your watch; how much time is over, how many marks paper is left and accordingly give importance to questions.

Best Books for all the Group 1 and Group 2 Subjects:

Reading too many books for one subject will not only confuse you but will demand lots of time. Rather than referring to three four books it's advisable to read only one book for one subject  and focus more on test papers and manuals.
